Once upon a time, in the land of Indianapolis, Indiana, there was a Product Designer named Elise Crockett. With 8 years of experience in Health IT and data analytics under my belt, I embarked on an exciting journey to use design to solve challenging business issues. But something was missing, I felt a pull towards creating intuitive, functional, and delightful user experiences and wanted to learn more about it.

In 2021, I decided to take a leap of faith and signed up for the DesignLab Academy to transition to UX design. It was a moment of epiphany, I realized that this was where I was meant to be and that this was the missing piece of the puzzle. I am a problem solver at heart, and see challenges as opportunities to learn and research. With this new found passion, I set out to create designs that not only looked good but also served a purpose and added value to the user's life.

When not working, I am always looking for ways to keep my mind active and engaged, whether it is by learning how to play the piano, practicing Spanish or spending quality time with my newly adopted Greyhound mix, Maverick.
